Your IdeasThe Processes of Thinking are a group of important tools that we usually use for understanding, recognice, and challenge, and/or change assumptions, starting with our own. They emerged from TOC practitioners, that needed to know: What to change ?, To what to change ?, How to cause the change ?

Currently, we don’t ask ourselves questions about what we are doing in our Organisations. We usually accept some stuff and acomodate in our chair to see how things come and go, and don’t track these, triyng to know if we are doing as much as we can and in the better way.

It’s important to challenge the assumptions that are hidden in our way of thinking, in order to go towards a ongoing improvement.

What are you going to do when you find yourself coming up with the same old solutions ? Can you do anything different that challenge your mind and yourself?

In the manufacturing sector the percentage of purchases to sales averages 55%.This means that for every euro of revenue collected on goods and services sales,more than half goes back to suppliers. It is not difficult to see why purchasing is clearly a major area for cost savings. However, savings come in different forms; the traditional approach is to bargain hard for price reductions. A newer approach is to build relations with suppliers to jointly pull costs out of the product or service.

Production Management, Purchasing and Supply Chain also has a major impact on product and service quality. In many cases, companies are seeking to increase the proportion of parts, components, and services they outsource in order to concentrate on their own areas of specialization and competence. This further increases the importance of the relationships between purchasing, external suppliers, and quality.

Los clientes siempre demandan productos y servicios que satisfagan sus necesidades, en los términos que ellos entienden y perciben. Conseguir esta satisfacción es el objetivo principal que a su vez obliga a tomar decisiones que se encaminen a este fin.

La calidad no solo se controla y asegura sino que hay que gestionarla. Esto requiere que se enfoque la calidad a todas las actividades de la empresa, ya sean operativas o de gestión.

La gestión de la calidad implica la consecución de los objetivos marcados y la mejora continua, contribuyendo a la satisfacción del cliente y a la reducción de coste. Es necesaria la participación de todo el personal en todos los procesos, ya sean internos como externos ya que todos influyen en el resultado final.
